About Coastal Ave.

Hi! I’m Averey — the founder, designer, and creative heart behind Coastal Ave. Design, a coastal-inspired lifestyle brand rooted in Newport, Rhode Island. What began as a passion project in my tiny Newport apartment has grown into a full creative studio, product line, and community-centered business that now lives entirely here on coastalavedesign.com.

🌟 How It All Started

I’ve always been drawn to creating — whether it’s drawing, branding, marketing, or capturing the charm of New England through design. After graduating from Marist College with a B.A. in Communications (Advertising & Public Relations) and a minor in Graphic Design, I began working in marketing and design roles, all while dreaming of building something of my own.

In 2023, I launched a small Etsy shop selling matchbox-inspired art prints. I thought it would stay a side project… but it quickly grew into something much bigger.

Thanks to the support of customers across the country, Coastal Ave. grew to:

  • 1,500+ Etsy sales

  • 200+ five-star reviews

  • Hundreds of custom orders

  • A recognizable product line

  • And a loyal community that made this dream possible

That growth allowed me to take Coastal Ave. full-time — and eventually transition off Etsy to fully sell through my own website.
